NRCS Technical Service Providers

In addition to providing engineering services with in-house staff, the NRCS utilizes Technical Service Providers (TSP’s) to assist with this workload.

Other Government Agencies

Contribution Agreements are utilized with other government agencies such as Soil and Water Conservation Districts.  These agreements provide for 50 percent reimbursement of eligible technical assistance costs associated with work done by these public sector employees.  These employees operate under NRCS Technical Approval Authority and Quality Assurance policies.

Certified Technical Service Providers

Cooperators who have entered into a contract with the NRCS may choose to hire a private sector consultant directly.  A line item is then added to their contract which provides NRCS funding for a portion of this technical assistance cost.  Private sector consultants who meet all the necessary requirements and are certified through the NRCS TechReg web site are eligible to perform these services when they are being funded in the contract.

Private Sector A&E Firms

The NRCS in Minnesota has established Indefinite Delivery – Indefinite Quantity contracts with several engineering firms.  These contracts will allow the NRCS to obtain technical assistance directly from these firms when needed.
