Growth Rate: Moderate to rapid

Site Requirements: Full to partial Sun.  Drought tolerant.  Good candidate for areas in need of erosion control or quick shade

Soil: Moist, well-drained, deep soils of variable pH, but can adapt to a variety of sites 

Form: Upright; rounded with spreading pendulous branches

Height: 60 to 80 feet

Width: 25 to 45 feet

Flower/Fruit: Orange to blue black, sweet fruit

Comments: Excellent for wildlife.  Native; bark tends to be warty; fruit attracts birds
