Hardiness Zones: 2 - 7

Growth Rate: Extremely slow growing

Site Requirements: Full sun.  Drought Tolerant.

Soil: prefers moist to well drained loams but will tolerate dry conditions

Form: Dense, narrow pyramidal with stiff horizontal branches

Height: 30 to 90 feet

Width: 15 to 25 feet

Flower/Fruit: 2 to 4 inch cones

Comments: More drought tolerant than other spruces; poor heat tolerance.  Excellent for wildlife cover and windbreaks
