Growth Rate: Slow to moderate

Site Requirements: Full Sun. Moderate drought tolerance.

Soil:  Moist, well-drained loams.

Form: Conical; spire like

Height: 40 to 60 feet

Width: 15 to 25 feet

Flower/Fruit: .75 to 1" purplish cones; mature to brown in fall

Comments: Excellent wildlife value.  Used for Christmas trees and make excellent farmstead windbreaks.
