Where is Wright County?
Wright County is situated in the east-central part of the State of Minnesota, southwest of the Mississippi River, Between the Crow River and the Clearwater Rivers. Somewhat irregular in shape, Wright County's length from east to west is 36 miles and at its greatest width is 30 1/2 miles. The western border is 22 miles and the southern is 24 miles.

Facts and Statistics of Interest -
The Wright Soil and Water Conservation District offers assistance and it tries to protect Wright County's 691 square miles of land and 37 square miles of water from destruction of its natural resources.

Willard Kreitlow (Middleville Township) retired from the District Board after serving 43 years as Supervisor, many of them as Chairman. In 1994, Willard received the first "Minnesota Outstanding Conservationist Award" given by Minnesota Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (MASWCD) and The Farmer magazine. What a Conservationist! |
