FOREST STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM

Do you own woodlands and want to do something with them but don’t know where to start?

The purpose of the Forest Stewardship Program is to assist you in multiple use management of your woodland.  We can help you get started on actively managing your woodland for personal benefits, while protecting the quality of its natural resources for the future.  The most important thing you can do to start with is deciding on objectives, or goals, for your property.

The Wadena SWCD received a grant to develop Forest Stewardship Plans on privately owned forestland in Wadena County.  If this is a program you are interested in, please call our office.
