Filter Strip – This filter strip was constructed below a confined feeding area. The filter strip confines the feedlot runoff through a vegetative cover where any nutrients are absorbed and utilized by the growing vegetation. Filter strips are one of several conservation practices eligible for cost-sharing through EQIP.
