Truax: Primary use is for native grass seeding.  Many native grasses have very large, fluffy seeds that will not go through a conventional drill.  This drill will handle any type of native grass seed.  It is a no-till drill and will work very well on a smooth sod.  It does not work well on rough fields that are very lightly disked.  Please talk with us in advance to find out what type of site prep is needed.

In Goodhue County, $100 minimum (includes the first 5 acres), $12.50 per acre additional.  Rates for outside Goodhue County are doubled.

Services

Delivery and pick-up by appointment.  Instructions will be given at delivery.  Operator must be present at delivery.  

John Deere 1590 No-till drill: Primary use is for seeding grassed waterways and other conservation practices.  The drill is not for use on plowed ground.  For waterways, we supply the seed for your job.  If you intend to use this drill for alfalfa seeding or CRP, you may have to wait longer because this is not a priority for this drill.

Specifications: 10' width, 7.5" row spacing, pull type tongue, minimum horsepower req., 70, hydraulics are one two-way system.

Rates

$100 minimum or $8.50 per acre, whichever is greater.
