A 4% Low Interest Loan Program for upgrading or replacing individual rural septic systems. An administrative fee of $100 will be assessed for any application that is reviewed by the lending agency. Other processing fees may be charged. Eligible Activities include:
Repair or replacement of an existing septic system. Relocation of a septic system out of an environmentally sensitive area. Sealing of an abandoned well. Replacement or relocation of a well.
Ineligible Activities include:
Septic systems in excess of certain flow rates. New connections or repairing old connections to collection systems. Installation of septic system for new construction. Expansion or upgrade of a conforming system due to construction of additional living quarters, new construction or new or expanded use. Costs incurred before the effective date or after the termination date of the loan agreement. Installation of a new well for new construction Installation of a new well for increased yield or flow rate.
