General
Information
An
elected board of five Supervisors governs Soil and Water Conservation Districts
(SWCDs) in
District III –
Fillmore,
District IV – Pilot Mound,
Fountain, Carrolton (excluding Lanesboro), Carimona,
Preston, &
District V –
Seats/Terms
The
office of SWCD Supervisor is a four-year term.
Candidates are elected in the general election. An election of Supervisors for the Fillmore
SWCD is held every two years, and the seats are filled with a 4-year term. The seats are aligned so that seats 3, 4 and
5 are elected in the presidential election cycle, while seats 1 and 2 are
elected in the non-presidential election cycles.
A
Supervisor shall hold office until his or her successor has been elected or
qualified. The office of the Supervisor
is a nonpartisan office, and each supervisor represents the entire district. Currently, Fillmore SWCD Supervisors are
elected at-large – meaning that all eligible voters throughout
Board Meetings
& Compensation
The
Fillmore SWCD Board of Supervisors meets the second Wednesday of each month, at
4:30 p.m. at the Conservation Building Conference Room. Supervisors receive a per diem for Board
meetings, which is currently $70 per meeting.
They are also reimbursed for mileage and any expenses related to the
Supervisor position.

Auditors office (located in
