Scholarship Essay Contest

The Douglas Soil & Water Conservation District and the Douglas County Lakes Association have been working together to provide scholarships for Douglas County high school seniors. 

2008 Topic Question:
How are exotic and invasive species impacting our lakes and wetlands, and what can citizens do to help stop and manage their spread and impacts on water, fish, and wildlife resources?

Congratulations to Tiffany Bouwman from Jefferson High School!  Tiffany won a $500 scholarship from the Douglas County Lakes Association to be used toward college books and/or tuition.
