Volunteer Lake Monitors Needed Lakes and streams within Chisago County are monitored and sampled on a regular basis. They are monitored for water quality, including; clarity, water levels, temperature, and chemical components. Observations and notes are made about the surroundings and weather conditions that may have an affect on the water body as a whole. Citizen monitoring is done by volunteers throughout Chisago County on both lakes and streams. Click here for a map that shows these locations. Stream Monitoring is done at nine different locations on six different streams 2-5 times per month from March through November. |
