50 acre wetland restoration in Franconia Township, completed in 2006, is home to a nesting pair of trumpeter swans, and numerous other species of wildlife.
In addition to a wetland providing good habitat, they are also necessary as filter systems. Wetlands can filter run off, that may contain impurities, from stormwater runoff or agricultural practices before reaching our water supply. |
