NRCS participates in National Pheasant Fest 2008

The 25th Anniversary Convention and National Pheasant Fest 2008 was held January 18-20, 2008 at the RiverCentre in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Minnesota Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) participated at Pheasant Fest by having an NRCS booth which was staffed by NRCS employees and Earth Team volunteers.  This outreach effort provided NRCS with an excellent opportunity of sharing technical information with existing and potential NRCS clientele.

Additionally, NRCS participated in the Landowner Habitat Help Room.  On hand in the Help Room were staff professionals from the Farm Bill Partnership, Minnesota DNR, Iowa DNR, USDA-NRCS, USDA Farm Service Agency and Minnesota Board and Soil Water Resources.   This Help Room was designed to give farmers and landowners site-specific information about conservation programs that they can implement on their land.

For more information about NRCS in Minnesota, please stop by one of the NRCS offices located in the USDA Service Centers or check out the MN NRCS webpage www.mn.nrcs.usda.gov for more information about NRCS.
